The ‘Mangrove Paradise Resort’ was officially opened on Oct 1, 2009 and has proven to be a big hit. The resort is situated on the bank of the Brunei River, quite literally above the water and intentionally built to look much like Kampong Ayer.
The resort boasts a magnificent view of the Brunei River, as well as an ultimately peaceful and serene atmosphere to calm even the tensest of nerves. The Z’yan Restaurant offers an array of fresh seafood to suit the 'bounty/beauty from the sea' theme.
Other facilities include 15 fully-furnished chalets, the Dee’s Spa, a conference room, a surau and two swimming pools. The resort also offers fishing, at $3 per entry. You can bring your own fishing gear at a service charge of $1 or rent equipment for $5.
